Don't know ho...Let me know what ratio you get.

Don't know how they get around made-up stuff in profiles. Probably just assume all details are correct and hope they don't have a significant effect on the results.Oatzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07766533850640317524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14769935.post-52448701856867584962010-10-02T06:53:38.058-07:002010-10-02T06:53:38.058-07:00Has a delete button but no edit button? Can't be bothered with Followers; too many spam bots.

Also, as I noted on the HBR post; wonder how they got around all the lies/made up stuff on Twitter profiles?Aerlisshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07642902647055247275noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14769935.post-3851614223751960982010-10-01T17:46:25.171-07:002010-10-01T17:46:25.171-07:00Interestingly, you're not the only woman to su...Interestingly, you're not the only woman to suggest you'd normally up the women's average :p

The article says that on typical social networks, it tends to be opposite to Twitter with activity more focused around women.

Their suggestion is:
"men and women find the content produced by other men on Twitter more compelling than on a typical social network, and men find the content produced by women less compelling (because of a lack of photo sharing, detailed biographies, etc.)."

It's quite an interesting article. My normal activity would probably have made women look even more talkative.

Interesting that the article you mentioned said that men are more likely to follow other men than women. Do they mean that they are more likely to hit 'follow' or simply that they follow more men? I'd assume the latter to be more true as a lot of people mostly follow their friends and, sadly, many people do stick to their own gender when it comes to strong friendship groups.

Are the numbers very different for Facebook friends, I wonder?Aerlisshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07642902647055247275noreply@blogger.com
